Our first game is an online multiplayer party game: 32 players, 6 rounds, only one remains. Here is what we are building.
Thirty-two players enter the arena of a survival game show. Six rounds await them. Only one leaves with the jackpot. This is OneRemains, the first game from Phaonix Studios, currently in development.
A party game, with a twist
OneRemains keeps what makes party games so easy to pick up — short rounds, cascading eliminations, ragdoll characters taking spectacular falls — and drops it into the tension of a TV game show. Round after round the field shrinks: 32, 24, 16, 10, 5… then 1.
Six rounds, six ways to lose
- Red Floor: green light, run; red light, freeze.
- Glass Panic: two panels, only one will hold.
- The Doors: groups, doors and a rule to obey.
- Don’t Fall: dodge the obstacles while one player secretly holds the button that fires them.
- Trust: share or steal? One secret choice.
- The Last Tile: the final, down to the very last tile.
Nobody gets benched
We didn’t want elimination to mean boredom. Knocked-out players bet on the survivors, vote, and one of them can even become the hidden host of the next round. Random modifiers — low gravity, lights out — also shake up the rounds you thought you knew.
And progression is cosmetic only: outfits can be earned and bought, victory never can. No pay-to-win.
Where is the game at?
OneRemains is built on Unity 6, with its own dedicated servers, and targets PC first. The game is in full production: we are not announcing a date yet.
